You offer various modalities and bodywork sessions, how do I know which style of bodywork is for me?
Regardless of which bodywork session you choose, each session is designed to target your needs. You may request focus areas in each session, and if you don’t have any focus areas or specific needs, and ask for primarily stress relief, then the therapist will do just that. When booking your session, feel free to add in the notes what your goals are and if you have any questions, then I can reach out to you to offer my advice.

This is my first bodywork session ever, how should I prepare and what should I expect?
Therapeutic Bodywork and Sarga Bodywork are traditionally performed with the client undressed to their comfort level. You will be fully covered by a sheet and blanket, and when working on a body part you will be securely undraped in that area. If you are uncomfortable at any time for any reason, please let me know.
Traditional Thai Massage is traditionally performed with the client fully clothed, so please come prepared in comfortable stretchy clothing, such as gym or yoga attire. You should expect for me to be in constant communication to assure that you are comfortable with the pressure and technique. Before the massage begins, you will always be asked if there are any areas to avoid that you are uncomfortable with having touched.
Never feel afraid or embarrassed to ask questions, or if you need more or less pressure, or even if you need to stop the session. I am here for you, to feel safe in my space and practice.

I have multiple years of experience and various certifications, acquiring as much knowledge as I can to diversify my practice to find what is best for you. You deserve to move your body freely so that you may live the fullest life you desire, and I strive to assist you in this journey.

How should I feel and what should I do after my session?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Always listen to what your body needs, and do what feels good for you after your session. Hydration is wonderful to keep your muscles relaxed and performing well, along with overall good health.

What is somatic experiencing and trauma-informed therapy?
This is a body-oriented therapeutic model that helps heal trauma and other stress disorders. Techniques here involve breathwork which allow the mind to settle down and find its place in the body. Trauma is any event that overwhelms the body’s natural ability to adjust and cope (Waterfront Media, Inc., 2012) and “shock begins when we are confronted by an experience so stunning we are forced to disconnect from our bodies” (Miles, 2001). In every session, I work with you by listening to what your triggers are, understanding your trauma whether physical or emotional, and properly apply the best techniques possible for you, so that you may feel comfortable and safe in your body.
